A Simple Guide to Hanging and Caring for Your Metal Wall Art

A Simple Guide to Hanging and Caring for Your Metal Wall Art

You've just received your beautiful package from JerseyTeam. Now comes the fun part: putting it up! While metal art looks heavy and substantial, installing it is actually quite simple if you follow these tips.

1. Hanging Tips

  • Check the Weight: Most of our laser-cut designs are surprisingly lightweight because of the negative space in the design. However, always check the weight before choosing your hook.
  • Use the Right Hardware: For smaller pieces, standard nails or picture hooks work perfectly. For larger, heavier statement pieces, we recommend using wall anchors (drywall anchors) to ensure they stay secure.
  • Create Depth: If your sign has pre-drilled holes, consider using small spacers or washers between the sign and the wall. This pushes the art out slightly, creating those beautiful 3D shadows we love.
  • The "Eye-Level" Rule: A common mistake is hanging art too high. The center of your metal sign should be approximately 57 to 60 inches from the floor, this is the average human eye level.

2. Care and Maintenance

One of the best things about metal art is how low-maintenance it is.

  • Indoor Use: Simply dust it occasionally with a microfiber cloth or a feather duster.
  • Outdoor Use: If you place your metal art outdoors (on a patio or porch), we recommend spraying it with a clear coat of UV-resistant sealant once a year. This helps protect the finish from the sun and rain, keeping it rust-free for longer.

We hope this guide helps you enjoy your JerseyTeam art for years to come. If you have any specific questions about mounting a particular piece, our support team is always here to help!
